DREAM ANALYSIS and INTROSPECTION

The Ancient Egyptian believed that the understanding of a dream was valuable because when a person saw a dream they believed it contained answers to problems and solutions to conflicts that may help the dreamer in their life. With guidance from the temple priesthood through symbolic dream analysis, pilgrims found resolutions to their problems and answers to questions they were seeking.

Why they may have had this belief that the dream could contain valuable information is not completely understood. It may stem from the belief that the person’s spirit could affect HEKA and be affected by it. HEKA being the realm in which the divine speak and the spirit can visit and reside. It was in that fact that they believed the symbols, colours, weather patterns, people and places they saw in their dreams could be insights that the divine and the dead ancestors were trying to communicate to them. Since they sought help from the divine gods and their dead ancestors through prayer, ritual and even letter writing, a significant dream, they believed, was the way they would get their answers and guidance.

We all know that some of our dreams are a jumble of images and memories. But most of us who are in tune with ourselves can determine what dreams may have valuable insights and which ones may not. Interpreting these dreams could lead to valuable knowledge of oneself and ones potential.

“If one was searching for an answer to a troubling matter or a cure for an illness, a priest was employed to sleep inside a ‘sleep temple’ or an oracle’s centre, or the petitioner could pay to spend the night at a ‘sleep temple’ himself, in order to receive divine assistance in health matters.” A. Ruiz

“They also believed that the dream is something that can be “seen” and is still very much alive and that the dream is being regarded as a method of communication between the dreamer and the divine world and can help with solving problems”. A.B. Lloyd

If you wish to have a dream analyzed, please send me an email answering as many questions as possible. Not all the questions may pertain to your dream. It would also be helpful for you to provide a little bit of background on yourself and what is currently going on in your life.
You may also choose to follow the guidelines on dream preparation if you have a specific goal in mind. If you are choosing to prepare yourself for a dream session, or “incubation”, consider purchasing a dream bundle. A dream bundle can be specially tailored to whatever goals you might be looking forward to. The dream bundle utilized before you go to sleep will help in focusing your mind and spirit to the potential HEKA that surrounds you. The dream bundle will contain a candle that will help focus your mind. The dream bundle itself is like a little “ritual”. The lighting of the candle. The lighting of the incense. Placing the dream pillow close at hand. All these actions are symbolic to the journey you are about to undertake.
